The course itself needs nothing but a browser. The hands-on Copilot Studio exercises need a Microsoft work or school account, which most people get from their employer.
Prices are Microsoft's and change — check their site for current terms.
Microsoft Learn is free. Applied Skills is free. Even a proctored certification runs $99 or less. We're not competing with any of that on price, and we're not a substitute for a Microsoft-branded credential. Their exams certify what you know. This teaches you to do the work, grades what you produce, and ends with an agent you actually built and governed.
| Option | Cost | What it gives you | What it doesn't |
|---|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Learn | Free | Self-study modules covering Copilot across the Microsoft 365 apps, at your own pace. | No practice feedback, no grading, nothing to show afterward beyond having read it. |
| Microsoft Applied Skills / certifications | Free–$99 | A Microsoft-issued credential. Applied Skills is an unproctored scenario assessment; the beta certifications (AB-900, AB-730, AB-731) are proctored exams, roughly 45 minutes. | No instruction along the way, no feedback on your own work, nothing you've built. |
| Udemy-style video courses | ~$10 | Video walkthroughs at a low transacted price, watchable whenever you want. | Watch-only. Nobody checks what you actually produce. |
| Instructor-led partner delivery | $675+/seat | A live instructor, real-time Q&A, a room of peers hitting the same problems in one session. | One day. No graded practice once the room empties. |
| FluentWorkForce, free tier | $0 | Module 1 in full, with AI-graded exercises and a practice sandbox, no card required. | Just the one module. No capstone, no certificate. |
| FluentWorkForce, full program | $149 | Six modules, AI-graded exercises, a sandbox, a capstone agent you build and govern, and a certificate. | Not a Microsoft-branded credential. |
If a Microsoft badge is what you need for a résumé or a job requisition, take Microsoft's credential. Applied Skills is free, and the beta certifications run $99 or less. Take our free module either way; it's real preparation for that exam. Pay us when you want your own work reviewed and an agent you've actually shipped and governed, not just a score.
FluentWorkForce is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Microsoft. Prices and program names above change. Check Microsoft's site for current terms.
